BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Department of Prosthodontics has a separate undergraduate and postgraduate section on the 2nd floor of new and old building and the preclinical lab on the 3rd floor of the college building. We at department of Prosthodontics cater to the treatment needs of patients within a wide age group including infants as well as geriatric patients. The department offers specialized training in geriatric dentistry with a separate clinic in the undergraduate section.

We also deal with rehabilitation of maxillofacial defects of patients with congenital /acquired abnormalities. Patients are also rehabilitated with extraoral prostheses including nose, eye, ear etc. made in silicone and intraoral prostheses ranging from interventional, presurgical and postsurgical.

These prostheses help in improving the confidence level of patients afflicted with facial defects and improve their quality of life. Our aim is to “Restore the confidence of such patients to face the society and live with dignity.” We also attend to patients with mutilated dentition and reorganize and rehabilitate the entire occlusion.
