The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken up a multi Crore Project at Kadapa comprising 750 bedded Super Specialty Hospital and Medical College, a Dental College & Nursing College to cater the needs and improve the health condition of the backward and draught prone area of ‘Rayalaseema’ Region.
Kadapa is situated in the South Central Part of Andhra Pradesh. It is located 8 K.M south of the Penna River and is surrounded by the hills on three sides. Kadapa was once a part of the Chola and Kakathiya Empire, back in the 11th to 14th century.
The then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Late Dr.Y.S.Raja Sekhar Reddy laid the foundation for this mega project on 28.01.2005 and the Govt. Dental College & Hospital situated in RIMS campus was started in the year 2008.
It has grown up in leaps and bounds in stature as one of the premier Institutions imparting quality Dental Education in India. The intake capacity of 100 seats of B.D.S., course and built in the area of 7.20 acres and the course got recognised by DCI in the year 2013.
