Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Training Programme

Government Dental College and Hospital, Kadapa, organized a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training programme from 5th to 9th October 2026, in collaboration with Heart Hospital Private Limited and American Heart Association (AHA)-trained personnel.

A total of 277 students received hands-on BLS training, and 106 students successfully completed rigorous ACLS training. The programme focused on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), early recognition of life-threatening medical emergencies, airway management, and essential life-saving interventions.

Key Objectives & Highlights:

Comprehensive CPR & AED Hands-on Practice: Practical training on high-quality chest compressions, bag-valve mask ventilation, and automated external defibrillator operation.
Early Recognition of Medical Emergencies: Recognizing acute cardiovascular collapse, stroke, anaphylaxis, and respiratory arrest in dental and clinical setups.
Advanced Life Support Protocols: Advanced airway management, rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and resuscitation algorithms guided by AHA certified trainers.
Regulatory & Patient Safety Compliance: Strengthening emergency preparedness, clinical competency, and patient safety among future dental professionals in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
